Sea Freight: LCL or FCL?
When do you opt for a groupage shipment and what is the tipping point for an FCL shipment? We would be happy to advise you.
Our company offers both FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load) services to cater to your specific needs. FCL provides exclusive use of a container for larger cargo volumes, ensuring security and efficiency. LCL is cost-effective for smaller volumes, with goods combined in shared containers. We also offer Groupage Containers, tailored for specific requirements, where you can share a container with others shipping similar goods. Whether you need the control of FCL, the affordability of LCL, or the convenience of Groupage Containers, our experienced team ensures a seamless shipping experience.
LCL or FCL?
Both FCL and LCL have their advantages and considerations. FCL offers more control, faster transit times, and reduced risk of damage since the container is not shared. LCL provides cost savings for smaller shipments but may have longer transit times and an increased risk of damage due to handling and multiple cargo consolidations.
If you cannot fill an entire container, LCL shipping is an alternative. From several global ports, we combine shipments from different customers into one container. Buying your goods on FOB basis gives you more control over the final cost of the whole route. Ever been confronted with extremely high unloading costs at the port? Then get in touch with us. Together we will look at the best solution for your shipment. This way you know exactly where you stand without any surprises afterwards.
